Some artists you should check out...

Ramblings of a madman.

So for a change of pace today, and to give back a little love I thought I would introduce you to a few artists that I really enjoy on DA.

I am very picky about the photography I like.  For me, it has to have people in it.  Be it portraits, nudes, fashion or street photography...it's gotta have people for me to really feel connected.
Don't get me wrong, I've seen some macro photography that I have really enjoyed, I have also seen pictures of cats that I liked (but most of them had captions added.)
For me a picture just emotes more with a human form in it.
So, on with the show....

First off, `scottjamesprebble.
I heard a quote once about Tom Waits music, that it "was like it was always 3am in a seedy diner...somewhere."
Well, Scott's work is like Tom Waits music to me.  It gives me a feeling that I'm watching something very personal...almost forbidden.
It's appropriate that his new book is titled "2am."

Next up, is ~ostanine.
I found Ostanine online after I drove his woman home drunk from a club, and she wouldn't stop talking about what a cool guy he was.  I had to see what she was talking about.  She was right.  Ostanine is a really awesome person, and his photography takes me to a place of serene beauty.  Simple and quiet, understated and powerful.  Getting to know Ostanine is not easy, and his photography is much the same...it only hints at something that you want to know more about...

Last but not least for today is `PerryGallagher.
Perry and I are in different orbits at the moment.  We have almost met twice, but something happened both times...and it just didn't happen.  Someday things will line up and we will meet face to face.  Sooner than later I hope, because from everything I have heard he is an awesome individual.  Until then I get to gaze at his awesome view of the female form.

Conan

Who are we?

Addictedimage is Conan Soranno and Mischa Romo.
Mr. Soranno is a mad Italian who chain smokes and spends his days plotting ways to corrupt the pure, dominate the world, and perfect his recipe for chicken alfredo. Every once in a while he gets off his ass and presses a button on his camera (if he's not to busy arguing with people online as to why everything they believe in is wrong.)

Miss Romo is an absolute sweetheart who drinks too much, fights too much, and is a general pain in the ass. If it wasn't for the fact that she was a kick ass artist (classical and digital) and a damn good fashion designer as well as a smoking hot model... she'd have been out on the curb a long time ago.

Oh...when things are right...we will meet.
Once you give up trying to force things, and just enjoy the ride...life is a lot more rewarding.
So...when it will be, will be...and it will be the right time.

I'm feeling the same as Ostaine at this point, it's great to see people actually getting your work, it inspires you to go on, thank you Conan you made my day.

Just remember...those that get it, share something unspoken...like a sly nod from a familiar stranger, a wry smile from a woman you once loved...
Those that don't get it...we can only hope that someday they are fortunate enough.

These are perhaps the nicest things anyone ever said about me and my work...and to be honest, coming from someone like you, it was something I needed badly at this point in time.

Eh...just being honest. And just like all artists, some people hate my stuff, some people love my stuff...but I like that.
If everyone loved my stuff, I wouldn't be doing my job right.
Art is supposed to evoke, be it a positive or negative...as long as it makes them feel something.
